MEMBER/GUEST 2010

Hi Ladies,

Member/Guest is just around the corner. This year it will be held on June 16. There will be a sign up sheet on our table. Please grab a friend and have some fun. If all of your frinds are already playing on the league or they just haven't figured out how much fun golfing is, just come and play with your normal group. Guest are NOT mandatory!

On this night we also take the opportunity to hold a "Rally for the Cure" to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This is strictly voluntary.

Since we have to plan for dinner, please sign up on the sheets we have provided. Don't call the course and tell them you will be playing. They get so busy, they could forget to tell us.

LOST & FOUND

Hi Ladies,

There was a black Hubbard Golf Course visor with a yellow heart-shaped visor clip ball marker left at Sun Hills this week. If you are missing this visor, it is safe in a closet at the golf course. Sean, Barry or Chris will get it for you.

Sun Hills Couples League

Ladies, The Sun Hills Couples League is in full swing. We'd like to invite you to grab a guy and come and play in this fun league.

We play every Thursday. We have a shotgun start at 5:30. The dues are $50 per couple. Weekly fees are $8/couple. We don't require handicaps on this league. We do fun tourneys. The winners are paid all different ways - 1,2,3 or 6,5,4 - like that. Weekly payouts are Target gift cards.

We have dinner once a month following golf.

It's still not too late to join, so talk to your favorite guy and come try the couples league. The registration for in on Sun Hills website or you can just go into the clubhouse and sign up. You won't be sorry.

Hi Ladies! Can you believe that we actually got to play this past Wednesday? Here are the "Putting Aces". Congrats!!

These ladies may have won the POD, but all 58 of us who played were winners too!

PINK SURPRISE!

Hi All,

Guess what Sun Hills went and did? They got 2 new "Potties" for the back nine just off hole 14. And if that isn't enough, one is blue for the guys and the other is PINK for the ladies! It's clean, smells nice and doesn't have one of them there "side holes" that stander uppers need to do their business!

How nice is that?

NOT AGAIN!

Well, Mother Nature did it again! Although we didn't cancel league today, ole MN proved to be a formidable opponent and just about everyone canceled. Notice I said "just about"...

Kim Horstman, Gena Strickland, Susan Carper, Mona Burke, Sue Hill, Sue Rush, Ali Chamberlain, Deb Gardner, and Jill Lunceford came out and played! OMG! How brave its that? Tacey, Mindy and Dodie came out and managed 5 holes before wimping out (the light weights). Kim Burr, Kathy Butler, Cara Lindsay and Kelly Montoya came, saw and left!

Needless to say, that isn't enough to hold competition so everyone will get a $3 credit for next week. Yes, I said "Next Week"! We gotta beat MN one of these weeks!

So, ladies unite! Make your tee-times for next week. We will win out!

RINGER BOOK

Hi All,

Tomorrow the Ringer binder will be at the course. Those of you who have been brave enough to have played 18 holes already will find a finished page for you.

From now on when you finish a league round, you need to check your page in the binder and if you have improved on any hole from a previous round, pencil in the better score in the box below the typed score.

Continue to do this throughout the year and see who wins.

Since we are scheduled to play the front 9 tomorrow, I have also completed pages for those of you who played the first week so you could at least update that.

Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, we will all have a page.

If you have any questions, please leave them on this post and I will answer them here so everyone will be able to see.

MAY 5 - ODD HOLES POD WINNERS

Below are the winners for yesterday's POD. I take my hat off to you brave souls that withstood the coooooold, windy weather last evening! That makes you all winners!

One item of note: Maryjo Aydoner won Closest to the Hole on #13 by landing just 1 foot fron the hole! Way to go eagle eye!
